Tony is the pilot of the Elsa. He refers to himself as the “best in space”, though this is obviously a biased assessment. Nevertheless, both his crewmates and the members of the main party seem confident in his abilities, and trust him with their lives throughout the series. All three games end with Tony pulling off a dramatic escape maneuver.

Although the official database suggests that Tony is an “unrivaled womanizer,” it seems that this line may have been written in jest. During Xenosaga II, it is possible to find Tony’s ex-girlfriend, Ginevra, on the Durandal. She has several choice words to say about him: “It’d be one thing if he left me for another woman, but he left me for a man! I got a message from him afterwards, and he said, “I feel like I’m truly alive.” Can you believe it?! I’m definitely going to make Tony pay, but I’m not going to forgive that macho old man who stole Tony away from me, either!” The validity of her statement cannot be confirmed, of course; however, there is little reason to doubt her.

Tony has a tremendous amount of respect for the dead, and references his deceased grandmother numerous times. In the glossary, it is revealed that he tends to pray the “Our Father” when in danger.

During Xenosaga III, Tony is shown to own two handguns/pistols, one black and one white. Due to the Elsa crew’s friendship with Gaignun and Jr., it’s possible that these were somehow obtained through them, as both he and Jr. are fond of these collector’s items.
